for practitioners looking to diversify their clinical practice by incorporating manual lymphatic drainage.

The Academy’s dedication is to provide the best education for their students, in a deeply nurturing and relaxing environment
(the best for optimal learning and coherence).

We offer private in-clinic trainings around Ontario, and group practitioner trainings at our headquarters, Longév Clinic, Toronto.

Be sure to look out for our retreat trainings offered across Canada and Internationally several times yearly!

FAQs

  • No, you don’t need to be an RMT. However, to get the most out of the training, we do recommend having a background in some education on anatomy and physiology.

We teach the medical side of lymphatic drainage and use technical language that might be difficult to follow without prior training.

  • Yes! Although you will need to practice on roughly 3 people before confidently using this style of massage, you can in essence use it as soon as you complete the training.

  • If you are not an RMT you will not be permitted to have your massages claimed via insurance.

However, if you do have a designation that allows for insurance billing, such as an acupuncturist, and you do some lymphatic massage in your hybrid treatment, you can decide if you’d like to offer a billable receipt to your client.

  • The cost of manual lymphatic drainage sessions differ depending on where you live and what your competitors are charging.

We recommend researching your colleagues’ fees in your neighbourhood and deciding from there.

  • Be sure to brush up on any training you’ve had on human anatomy and physiology, including the nervous system.

If you don’t do that, you’ll be fine to attend the training with confidence. Your teachers can explain any terms you might need refreshing on.

PS - if you have long nails, we highly recommend cutting them .)

  • There is street parking around the clinic.

We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to be sure you get a spot.

  • You bet! We provide a healthy lunch for all students from Impact Kitchen!

There are plenty of gluten and dairy-free options to choose from.

  • Workout gear or Sunday comfies :)

I recently took the lymphatic drainage level 1 course. I really enjoyed this course! Cassandra and Thais were both amazing teachers. They made learning really easy and enjoyable. They are both very patient, kind, and thorough. They really make sure you understand what you are learning before moving on. When practicing the techniques on each other they make sure each student has enough time to practice and feel confident with the techniques. You can really tell how passionate they are. After taking their course I am feeling confident about adding MLD into my practice. I highly recommend this course and I can’t wait to take level 2! Thank you for everything!
